The
Battlefield Fire Protection District is located just southwest of
Springfield, Missouri. The District covers approximately 32 square
miles of mostly residential housing. We maintain a fleet of three
frontline KME pumpers as well as two additional engines, two tankers,
one heavy and one light rescue. Battlefield Fire has responded to more
than 1400 calls in 2007. We have two stations that are manned 24/7 and
are preparing to bring a third station online in late 2008 or early
2009. The District has a state of the art training center and is
recognized by the state as a certified training facility. In 2007, we
held our
first two EMT-B classes.
